After one-man travelling exhibition of Margarita Siourinain Pas de Calais area in autumn of 1995, Culture Centre named after Albert Camus (Lans) offered the artist to prepare a one-man exposition “Colour over the Time”, which opened on November 22, 1996. About fifty works have been exhibited; landscapes of France (series Loire Castles, Normandy, Pas de Calais) and landscapes of Russia (Veliky Ustyug, Dymkovo, Kargopol, Ken-Ozero) defined the knot of the display.
The vernisage was visited by: Mayor of Lans, Head of Department for Culture of the city, creative intellectuals, and representatives of Artists’ Association of Lans.
After the exhibition was over, the Department for Culture purchased several paintings for municipal collections.
Margarita Siourina expresses her gratitudeto municipal authorities, to the Cultural Centre’s managers and to all her friends in France and in Russia for their assistance in preparing and holding the exhibition.
