MARGARITA SIOURINA

Born in 1969, Bangkok, Thailand.
1981 Started to study painting in the studio of Valentina Tsvetkova, People’s Artist of the Ukraine.
1987 Graduated from the Moscow Art School affiliated to the Surikov Institute. 
1994 Graduated from the Moscow Surikov State Academic Art Institute in the studio of Tair Salakhov, People’s Artist of the USSR.
1999 Member of the Russia Creative Union of Artists.
2001 Member of the International Arts Fund.
2010 Corresponding member of the International Academy of Culture and Art.
2010 Holder of the SERVICE TO THE ART Silver Order.
2012 – Silver Medal of The Creative Union of Russian Artists for Contribution to Russian Culture.
2012 г. – Certificate of Honour awarded by the Central Committee of the RF Culture Workers’ Trade Union.
2013 г. – Letters of Thanks from the Minister of Culture of Saratov Oblast’, Saratov Department for Culture, Volgograd Regional Department of the Creative Union of Russian Artists.
2014 – Silver Medal (second time), and Gold Medal of The Creative Union of Russian Artists for Contribution to Russian Culture.
2016 – Letters of thanks of the Memorial museum of Marina Tsvetaeva in Moscow and the State museum center "Preodoleniye" of N. A. Ostrovsky for the organization and participation in the art project "The Portrait of Russian Fine Word".

Since 1988 Participant of Moscow and International Exhibitions.

1993, 1995, 1996 Solo-exhibitions in France, cooperation with French galleries and exhibition halls.

Since 1999 Participant of exhibitions organized in Moscow by the Moscow Union of Artists, the Russia Creative Union of Artists, and the International Arts Fund.

Winner of Golden Brushcompetition in theCentral House of Artists, the Victor Popkov Competition, exhibitions held in the Academy of Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Academy of Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Kultura exhibition hall in the All-Russian Exhibition Centre, the Cinema Hose, the White House, etc.

2000 – 2001 Participant of the ART-SALON in the Manezh Central Exhibition Hall, Moscow.

Since 2014 Margarita Siourina was the organizer of the exhibition project "The PORTRAIT of RUSSIAN FINE WORD" devoted to the Russian literature. Within the project the following exhibitions were held:

  • August, 2014 – "The PORTRAIT of RUSSIAN FINE WORD" in Marina Tsvetaeva's Memorial museum in Moscow, with participation of artists, sculptors and poets of Russia.
  • September, 2014 – "The PORTRAIT of RUSSIAN FINE WORD" in the creative studio of the Ryabichevs in Moscow, an exposition of "A word metamorphosis in the fine arts", with participation of artists, sculptors, designers and poets of Russia.
  • October, 2014 – "The PORTRAIT of RUSSIAN FINE WORD" in the exhibit hall "KOLORIT" in Moscow, the exposition "No, I am not Byron, I am another …", devoted to the 200-anniversary of M. Yu. Lermontov; with participation of artists, sculptors, designers and poets of Russia.
  • August, 2015 - "The PORTRAIT of RUSSIAN FINE WORD" in Marina Tsvetaeva's Memorial museum in Moscow, an exposition "War and Peace" devoted to the 70-anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War; with participation of artists, sculptors and poets of Russia.
  • September, 2015 - "The PORTRAIT of RUSSIAN FINE WORD" in the exhibit hall "KOLORIT" in Moscow, an exposition "War and Peace"; with participation of artists, sculptors and poets of Russia.

Chernyshevsky's Memorial estate in Saratov, in the collection of the House of the Russian abroad named after A.I.
